Guess Who's Coming to Dinner

As a Tuber, YouTube Creator, channel person, whatever you want to call it, I've connected with others also creating content on YouTube. It's great because you have people who get the process of not only creating things for your table but videos for others.

During this time of getting into the game, growing, and learning, I met John, of Dungeons and Gluesticks, and he is a great source for help and guidance. He has an amazing style to his builds, and we are both fans of those little details that add that extra touch to our projects.

Between Google Hangouts, live streams, and the usual PMs we began to chat often with one another.

Turns out we don't live too terribly far from each other either. As someone who travels in order to even see family, anything under 4 hours is doable but I know that isn't the case for everyone.

So I was pleasantly surprised when he offered to come out when David is done working on a build for a one shot he is writing up to help us test it. I was also surprised when he asked about female kittens since I do rescue work.

On a lark, I sent him a picture of one who definitely caught my eye, and wouldn't you know, she caught his too. In a matter of a couple days, plans were made, and Friday night turned into finally getting a chance to meet face to face!

In a nutshell, it was SO much fun. Yes there are times where you meet someone IRL and it can be stilted at first as you try to find your groove in true interaction with each other, but that was not the case. He arrived with his fiancee and within minutes we were enjoying dinner and chatting away, all while their new kitten trotted around us checking things out.

It was a great night and we're looking forward to more interactions that don't need a keyboard. If you haven't found him on YouTube yet, follow this link below, give him a few likes and subscribe. It's totally worth it and you will be amazed at what he builds.

Thanks again, John! It was a blast!!
